Corfu is an island with lush vegetation offering many destinations for daily excursions, swimming and dinning.

Transportation either by car or the local bus service is very easy. The island of Corfu is easily accessible by air, by sea and by bus from the Athens Bus Station. Open-type and closed-type ferries depart daily mainly from the port of Igoumenitsa, while there are various Sea Lines (MINOAN, ANEK, BLUE STAR, etc.) with routes to Italy that make an intermediate stop in Corfu. From Corfu you can also visit the nearby islands of Paxoi, Antipaxoi, Othonoi, Ereikousa, etc., with daily excursions organized by island tourist agencies or by scheduled boat service from the port of Corfu. From Corfu you can also visit the other Ionian islands by ferry service and special flights connecting the Ionian islands (Cephalonia, Zakynthos).

 

Acharavi, where the luxury hotel Lena Mare is situated is a cosmopolitan resort town overlooking the Acharavi beach on the northern coast of Corfu. Acharavi has excellent infrastructure and visitors can find here banks, commercial center, post office, doctor’s offices, super markets, jewelry shops, gift shops, retail stores, Press center and much more.

 

Acharavi has also many tavernas, restaurants, bars and café bars, most right next to the long sandy beach.

 

Visitors can also explore the nearby hills along well maintained trails, ideal for morning or evening walks.

Acharavi is approximately 35 kilometers from the center of the city of Corfu, which is the island’s capital and from the airport, the port and the Corfu Intercity Bus Service (Corfu KTEL).

Connection from the center of the city of Corfu to the center of Acharavi is mainly by road, either by scheduled bus service (KTEL) or by taxi.
